We all know that college education is very expensive. Our guidance counselor told us about available scholarships for high school seniors. I read about the requirements and I am seriously consider applying for one. I want to take culinary arts. I dream of being a chef in a fancy restaurant someday. My mom wants me to pursue a career in the medical field. Academically speaking, I’d do good in a medical field but my heart is just not into it. I am more of the creative type and I think I will do well in the kitchen than in the operating room. I told my mom that I don’t want to end up like my sister who graduated with a degree in nursing but found her calling organizing. She is now working in a non-profit organization. I would not want to waste all those years of studying just to finish a degree that I will not be able to use.
